I presented at the Airwatch Connect conference in Atlanta, GA last week. Airwatch is a leading provider of Mobile Enterprise Management software and is an IBM partner. IBM MobileFirst offers a comprehensive, end-to-end portfolio of mobile enterprise solutions including services, software and partners that compliments Airwatch.
This was my first time attending the conference and I understand this year’s conference was the biggest yet with 1,200+ attendees and 93 sponsors. In attendance were leading mobile enterprise subject matter experts who presented on a variety of topics including BYOD, security, mobile application development and management, content management and mobile strategy and policy – just to name a few. I was invited to present on the best practices of mobile technology leaders and a copy of my presentation can be found below.
Major announcements at the conference included e-mail containerization for Apple iOS and a sneak peek at Airwatch 7.0 which includes a new, simplified administrator interface and advanced analytics. The product showcase had dozens of vendors including Samsung which demoed their new Galaxy Note 3 and Gear smartwatch. The conference also had two great networking events, one at the Georgia Aquarium and a second, sponsored by IBM, at the World of Coke. As with most other conferences I attend, it was great to network and meet face-to-face with mobile experts that I had previously only connected with via social media.
